Welcome to Cornacopia!

Sharing is caring!

I’m starting a blog – finally! I can’t believe that after all these years of thinking about it (and having my friend V tell me I needed to start one) that I’m getting around to it. Procrastination isn’t a great trait to have, believe me.
First a little about the title of my blog, Cornacopia. Many moons ago a co-worker, probably thinking he was insulting me, told me I was a cornucopia of useless information. Well I hadn’t heard such a great description of myself! I’ve always loved to learn (even if I wasn’t the best in school). I am addicted to reading and that now includes Googling movie actors from the 1940’s and 50’s while I was movies on TCM. So my thirst for knowledge is deep. But what about that misspelling – Cornacopia . . . I’m a notoriously bad speller. While I can see a word and tell it’s misspelled, I have trouble putting some words down correctly on paper. It’s a running joke in my family so I thought it was a cute play on words.

One of my favorite shows is that show about nothing, Seinfeld. I don’t think I’m anywhere near as talented as those writers but since I have a love of many things, for now, my blog will be about “nothing”. And everything. Well not everything. There’s plenty I’m not good at. But I like to try different things and will take you on those adventures with me. What I do love is travel, food and (most) social media. So you’ll see more posts about those things than anything. I’ll travel around Florida where I live and highlight things I love. I also recently traveled to Cuba for the first time (that picture of the church at the top of the blog and at the beginning of this post are pictures I took in Havana) and will be going back in a few months so I’ll be talking about that too.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to let me know what you think and if there’s anything you think I should give a try. Oh and let me know if I spelled anything wrong 😀
